Our event staff are the face of NewWave and will do all they can to ensure the event is successful and the guests leave with a smile on their face. At NewWave, we get this, and we also know that staff that feel valued and enjoy their working environment, are ultimately more committed, happy and hardworking. We apply a very cooperative and collaborative approach to our management, and we believe this creates a positive, efficient and FUN working environment. We also organise a pretty great staff Christmas party at the end of event season too… just saying!
We are always on the lookout for new enthusiastic people to join our team! Our main event season runs from May-September and staff must be willing to work long hours and weekends on an ad-hoc basis.
As some of our events are pretty unique (dragon boat racing), we hold an annual staff training weekend in March/April to train all new staff and give existing staff a little refresher. The weekend covers all aspects of safety, event structure, job roles and gives staff a chance to meet newcomers and catch up before the start of the season. There may also be a bacon butty or two…
No experience is required as this weekend is designed to give staff all the training they need before working our upcoming events season. All you will need is some warm clothes and a smile on your face!
