About NewWave

The people behind your events.

We’re a UK-wide corporate events team that plans, produces and delivers the whole thing in-house. No middlemen, no nasty surprises — just brilliant days out your team will actually remember.
Our Story

Born in 2020.
Built for teams.

We started NewWave Events in June 2020 — not the easiest moment to launch a live-events company. But we spotted a gap, backed ourselves and got stuck in. Since then we’ve delivered hundreds of corporate team building days, charity fundraisers and evening entertainment right across the UK.

Our directors, Lucy and Alicja, have poured everything into this covid-born business since day one, and the team has gone from strength to strength, city to city, ever since.

Today we’re at the forefront of first-class Dragon Boat events and genuinely original corporate entertainment. We put real passion and pride into everything we run — and you can feel it on the day.

About Me

I've always been drawn to events because I love the mix of people, energy and problem solving that comes with bringing a day to life. My background in both events and business has really shaped the way I work, and was a huge help when setting up NewWave Events, giving me the confidence to not only create memorable experiences, but also understand what clients need from a professional, well run event. My background in team building has shown me how powerful a well planned event can be, not just as a fun day out, but as a way to help people communicate, build trust, step outside their comfort zones and discover skills they didn't know they had. I'm focused, driven and always strive for perfection, making sure every detail is considered, so the experience feels smooth, professional and memorable, and I always make sure I have fun whilst doing it all. 😉

About Me

I fell into events almost by accident — I volunteered to organise a charity fundraiser years ago and somehow never stopped. What started as a one-off quickly became a full-blown obsession with logistics, laughter and the kind of atmosphere you can't manufacture but absolutely can plan for. Before co-founding NewWave Events, I spent time working across hospitality and corporate project management, which gave me a real appreciation for the details that most people never notice — until they go wrong. I genuinely believe a great event changes how people feel about each other, whether that's a team who've never really clicked finally finding their rhythm on the water, or a group of strangers finishing the day as a crew. There's nothing quite like it. I'm the kind of person who has a contingency plan for the contingency plan, which my colleagues find either reassuring or exhausting depending on the day. Outside of work, you'll probably find me outdoors, overplanning a weekend away or hunting for the best flat white in whichever town we've hauled a dragon boat to.

About Me

Events have always excited me. The buzz of a crowd, the moment a plan actually comes together, the look on people's faces when they're genuinely having the time of their lives. Joining NewWave Events as a trainee has been the best possible way to turn that excitement into something real. Every day I'm learning something new, whether that's how to wrangle a running order that refuses to cooperate, keep a smile on when the unexpected happens (and it always does), or just how to make sure 80 people end up in the right place at the right time. I love that no two events are the same, there's always a fresh challenge to get your teeth into. I'm still early in my journey, but I throw everything I've got at every event I'm involved in and I'm soaking up every bit of experience along the way. Give me a checklist, a tight turnaround and a good team around me and I'm in my element. The dragon boats are pretty cool too.

Why NewWave

What clients say when it’s all over.

Huge thanks to Alicja and her team at NewWave Events... The musical bingo was a great success, Neil the host was hilarious and made the event very enjoyable and even judged the winners for the most festive outfit. Would definitely use NewWave again and recommend.

CEO / Music Bingo

What a fantastic evening - well executed and all my colleagues had a great time. Plenty of money lost over the course of the evening at the Totes, however the winners did go home with £1,000s. Many thanks all involved at New Wave Events, our race night was first class!

Laura Prime
CEO / Corporate Race Night

We have used NewWave Events a couple of times at Kohler. Though we had different event hosts each time both crews were superb, steering the atmosphere and activities with expertise that sets them apart.
