Over 90 minutes, teams take part in a medley of hilarious, instantly recognisable game show rounds, from icebreakers and quiz challenges to creative and messy activities.

Rounds might include: building flamboyant hats, guessing backwards Christmas songs, decoding festive catchphrases, sculpting playdough scenes, or holding marshmallows while repeating a tricky phrase. Each round is designed to get everyone involved, laughing, and enjoying the festive spirit.

No special skills are required, just enthusiasm, energy, and a sense of fun. How does the event work?

Ultimatum is a 90-minute interactive gameshow featuring a series of themed rounds inspired by popular TV shows. Each round is fast-paced, colourful, and designed to be accessible to everyone. Teams compete in fun challenges such as quizzes, creative tasks, memory games, and hilarious physical stunts. Points are awarded for creativity, speed, and accuracy, and the event builds to a fun, competitive finale.

Where can we organise the event?

Ultimatum is fully mobile and flexible, meaning it can be held in almost any venue. It works perfectly in corporate offices or boardrooms, hotels, conference centres, and event venues. For smaller groups, it can also be run in private homes, social clubs, or community halls. All that’s needed is a space for teams to gather and a screen or projector for some of the rounds, making it adaptable to your event requirements.

What kinds of rounds are included?

Ultimatum features a lively mix of festive rounds designed to keep energy levels high and ensure everyone gets involved. In Crackerjack, teams have just four minutes to create the most flamboyant hat for their captain. Xmas Family Fortunes is a classic survey-style quiz with a festive twist, while Xmas Conveyor Belt challenges teams to memorise items hurtling past on screen to score points. In Festive Songs Reverse, participants must identify backwards Christmas songs, and Festive Catchphrase tasks teams with decoding well-known festive phrases on screen. Xmas Supermodels invites teams to sculpt seasonal scenes out of playdough, and Robin Redbreast is a marshmallow challenge combined with a tongue-twister for added hilarity. These are just a few examples from a wide variety of rounds, all designed to create laughter, competition, and festive fun.

Group sizes

The event is ideal for teams of four to six people, but it can easily accommodate groups of varying sizes. It works well for small parties of 12–20 attendees and scales up for large corporate events with 100 or more participants. Team sizes and the number of rounds can be adjusted to suit your guest list and event goals.

007 Themed Murder Mystery

We held a 007 themed murder mystery afternoon for our Global team online. It was a great escape from work and a nice way to celebrate our VP's 1 year anniversary with us (big 007 fan). Thanks to all the team and actors for the session! Looking forward to booking more as well as hopefully live events in the future

Corporate Race Night

What a fantastic evening - well executed and all my colleagues had a great time. Plenty of money lost over the course of the evening at the Totes, however the winners did go home with £1,000s.

Huge thanks to Alicja and her team at NewWave Events. We were very late in booking our Musical Bingo event but they found us a slot and looked after us throughout the booking process. Very organised, professional, accommodating and the cost was very reasonable when compared against other companies. The musical bingo was a great success, Neil the host was hilarious and made the event very enjoyable and even judged the winners for the most festive outfit. Would definitely use NewWave again and recommend.

Back with a Bang

Unfortunately we had to cancel our annual Dragon Boat Race in 2020, which was difficult enough, but Alicja and Lucy made it as easy as possible especially re-booking everything for 2021. This has been my first time working with NewWave and I can't praise them enough, the support leading up to the event was amazing, they were always at the end of the phone or an email and the event itself was fantastic! There were no issues what so ever, or if there were, we didn't hear about it. They have an incredible team who constantly had smiles on their faces and couldn't do enough to help us. The event was a complete success and we are looking forward to many more years of working with NewWave. Thank you Alicja and Lucy, you guys are brilliant!
